My paintings for this exhibition are added to my Fragile Earth series , they are inspired by my desire to create work that evokes a feeling of place, that place is precious, and ever changing - our world; in this case the sensation of the wind in the grasses on the shore at Prawle Point, 50.12° N, 3.43° W, South Devon, 20 miles from my home.
I like to think I can imagine the pea green boat as it bobs about on the wild sea, just visible between the grasses.
I am an artist working in a variety of media. My art and research is linked very closely with the environment – nature and people alike, with a strong leaning towards ecology. I live and work in Devon.
